Writing from New Zealand

Hello you all, I bet nobody reads my blog anymore...

Anyways, here I am finally in New Zealand! I'm going to be studying in the Wellington School of Medicine which is under the University of Otago. Took a 9 hour flight from Malaysia to Auckland with Carl Lin. It was pretty hard breaking to be leaving home, leaving Malaysia, leaving all my friends. Yew Weng and Melissa came to send me off at the airport. It was the first time I took a flight, all along I was pretty worried about being stopped by the customs officers but everything went pretty well.

The flight itself was fun and enjoyable, getting to fly with Carl Lin. There were meals provided, and a cool LCD computer to watch movies in front of everyone's seats. We arrived at Auckland at 12:30pm (local time) and then walked over to the domestic flights section to catch the next plane. Her to Wellington and myself to Christchurch.

So here I am now in a hotel in Christchurch, I met up with Cheok Soon and Rae Na last night and we cooked up ABC soup and fried cabbage and ate them with rice. Slept at 1am and woke up at 12pm this afternoon... I must have been really tired, or maybe not accustomed to the time here yet. After all, 12pm here is about 7am back in Malaysia.

That's it for now I guess, I'll be updating my blog further with more adventures and experiences from New Zealand. Stay tuned!

Jacob
