Clinical visit, revisited
I slept at 4am last night and had to wake up at 6:30am to drive to Uni cos we'd agreed to go to the clinic we were supposed to visit by LRT. Was supposed to meet there at 7:45am, and I was actually late by a few minutes... turns out I was the earliest. Sheesh... talk about Malaysian time....
Anyway, we walked to the LRT station and took the train to the Maluri station. Was feeling so tired and sleepy all the while. We reached there and actually walked the wrong way until we asked a traffic policman and he redirected us. So well, we were walking along the right track when we saw two dogs having sex. And wow, new position! Butt to butt! Really brings a new definition to doggie style huh? =p
We reached the clinic we were supposed to go to - Bandaraya Clinic (for bandaraya staff and their kins only). We were brought around to look at drugs, needles and stuff. We got to watch an Incision and Drainage (IND) procedure by a doctor. It looked really painful as he cut off an Indian woman's blister (...or boil, whatever it is). Then we were taken into the dispensary to see more drugs... and after that we were posted to doctors to watch them examine patients.
We finished at 11:45am, then walked to Jaya Jusco near-by to have lunch. Went to eat at Long John Silvers. Here's a warning note to everyone : - DO NOT EAT AT LONG JOHN SILVERS!
Why? Cos they con people! Combo meal 2 - 1 chicken, 1 fish, fries and drinks RM8.90... combo meal 3 - 1 chicken, 1 fish, 2 'shrimp', fries and drinks RM10.90
So I thought, what the heck go for combo 3 la, got shrimp.... looked like it was about half the size of the fish... what turned out were 2 bloody measly tiny prawns! RM1 each... sheesh... and what's worse... they use plastic knifes and forks and styrofoam plates... They sell a rice set, supposedly value meal but they don't even provide spoons. Nope, not even plastic spoon... friends had to eat the rice with their forks and knives. Now I know why noone ever goes there. Well, I must say though the fries are pretty cheap, crispy and hot. Not bad at all.
Took train back to uni, and then went for lectures... I zoned out during the first lecture, but managed to stay awake during the second one about lung cancer. I guess the way lectures are presented makes a difference... same goes for PBL presentation. I never bother to absorb boringly read presentations... because it just doesn't have enough appeal. Interactive presentations are far better... gotta work on my skills though, don't know if I'm lacking in any aspect... would be nice to have feedback from my PBL mates.
